Named after the Swedish word "mångata", the shimmering path of moonlight on water, this work centers on a line of light that does not erase darkness but crosses it.

Built through layered deposits and partial erasures, the surface holds time as matter. The dark field is density, an inner landscape of memory and sensation where perception slows.

The gold line acts as a rhythmic break, a pause that creates measure and horizon. It reads as threshold, scar, and lucidity, the point where attention becomes aware of itself.

My practice explores rhythm as subject formation and painting as a device for cognition and metacognition, an approach I call neuropoietics.
